On June 23, KSA’s own C. Daniel “Danny” Hays, P.E. was appointed to the Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals for the City of Lufkin. The board meets as needed to hear the appeals of decisions made by the building official, and to discuss other matters related to the implementation of building codes. At the request of the city engineer, Danny completed an application to join the board. His application was reviewed by city staff, then recommended to the city council for appointment.

Danny is a project manager in KSA’s Lufkin office with over fifteen years of experience planning, designing, and directing the design, construction, and maintenance of civil engineering projects. He has managed projects and prepared plans and specifications for pipeline design, sanitary sewer collection, municipal water distribution, street rehabilitation/reconstruction, land planning and development, and urban hydrology. Danny is interested in corrosion control for municipalities and water transmission systems. He has provided project management and design services on municipal projects involving water storage and pumping facilities as large as 85 millions of gallons per day (MGD). Also, he has assisted clients in the permitting of municipal wastewater treatment facilities and supported their efforts to maintain compliance with existing Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) permits.

Danny graduated from Texas A&M University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He volunteers at the Libby Water Supply Corporation where he currently serves as president. He is also the president of the Nacogdoches A&M Club. As a seasoned municipal engineering professional, Danny is honored to employ the professional knowledge he has acquired in this useful, civic capacity.
