Shreveport Regional Airport ARFF

KSA designed a new, $1.6 million, 8,750 square foot, air rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) facility with load bearing masonry walls, a joist girder, and bar joist structural system for the Shreveport Regional Airport. A four-bay engine room was designed and equipped with a laundry room and storage area, decontamination shower, break-out gear lockers, jib crane, and storage in the mezzanine area. Two dorm areas, a day room, training room, offices, dining area, and kitchen complete the ARFF. KSA Alliances’ final design fulfilled Shreveport Regional Airport’s needs while also adhering to current FAA guidelines.
