The City of Springhill selected KSA to complete a $1.4 million project for the Springhill Airport that would extend the runway and create a full parallel taxiway. Runway 18-36 was extended 200 feet with an 800-foot extension of Taxiway A to the 18 end. The runway extensions mirror the existing runway dimensions and are 75-feet and 40-feet wide, respectively. The project also includes an asphalt apron expansion to the north of the existing aircraft apron. Earthwork, drainage improvements, pavement markings, and relocation of the existing fuel facility were also addressed.
