The City of Brady, Texas hired KSA Engineers to assist with the relocation of the city's infrastructure repair service center by designing a new facility to house the equipment used in maintaining the city's water, gas, and electricity utilities as well as sewer and waste management services.
The former service center was located within the flood plain of Brady Creek. The city chose to move to higher ground and utilize the land behind a former National Guard armory. The new facility includes four new pre-engineered metal structures used for the storage of vehicles, equipment and other materials. The existing armory building was converted into office space for city staff and maintenance personnel.
The project was funded through a hazard mitigation grant program offered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
