Shreveport Regional Airport

KSA designed 57,000 square feet of sort warehouse and office space for air cargo at Shreveport Regional Airport. The $8.7 million project provides facilities that will serve as tenant space for multiple air cargo carriers, including the United States Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS), FedEx, and other support tenants. Multiple design concepts and visits to air cargo facilities around the country helped KSA to carefully prepare the final design. Both facilities are pre-engineered metal buildings with 100-foot clear span and 25-foot eave height. The airside facility opens to the cargo apron for aircraft loading and unloading and the landside is constructed with approximately 25 truck docks. The office spaces are air conditioned and sort areas have heat with natural ventilation for cooling. The entire building is protected by an automatic sprinkler system and features emergency generators for limited operation during power outages.
