Raw Water Pipeline Improvements and Water Distribution Main

The City of Mount Pleasant hired KSA Engineers, Inc. to design and construct a new raw water pipeline connecting the raw water pump station to the city’s new water treatment plant. The pipeline consisted of more than 17,000 linear feet of 30-inch diameter and 8,000 linear feet of 24-inch diameter piping.

The project also consisted of designing plans and profiles for the raw water line, in-line valves, air release valve stations, vacuum relief stations, road crossings, connection details, and other details related to the installation of the raw water pipeline and the associated appurtenances. KSA also provided the design of a treated water main to integrate the new 5.0 mgd water treatment plant with the existing distribution system including approximately 5,100 linear feet of 16-inch diameter water line, in-line valves, fire hydrants, road crossings, connections, and other details related to the installation of the treated water main and the associated appurtenances.
