Joncie Young and Bob Thurber Celebrate 45 Years at KSA
Today we are celebrating 45 incredible years of dedication and expertise at KSA. Joncie Young and Bob Thurber are true pillars of our company. Their journey with us is as old as KSA itself, founded in 1978. Joncie and Bob’s 45-year tenure is a testament to their dedication to KSA, clients, and projects. Their wealth of experience and commitment have shaped many of KSA’s successes. Joncie and Bob, and their combined 90 years of experience, have weathered challenges and milestones from day one. Not only are Joncie and Bob excellent engineers, but they are also mentors, and leaders, and embody excellence for current and future generations of KSA engineers.
In the last 45 years, many things have changed—in the world and in the world of civil engineering. They have played pivotal roles in the securing and execution of hundreds of projects. Together they have positively impacted communities and airports across Texas and beyond. Joncie and Bob’s dedication is an inspiration to us all. They exemplify KSA’s core values: commitment to excellence, future focused, consistent integrity, collaborative teamwork, and mutual respect.
KSA President and CEO Mitch Fortner noted, “Joncie and Bob were two of the first engineers hired by Toby Kindle and Larry Stone in 1978. When I showed up at KSA in 1984, they had already helped establish KSA as one of Texas's most respected public infrastructure engineering firms. Throughout their careers, they have both been examples, mentors, and good friends to me. Above all else, I have witnessed their selfless professionalism, as they have time and time again worked tirelessly in the absolute best interest of their clients, their business partners at KSA, the employees of KSA, the public who benefit from the projects that we design, and the profession of engineering. I’m very thankful to still be working with Joncie and Bob at KSA.”
Congratulations to two KSA legends for 45 years at KSA. Joncie and Bob, we appreciate you! We build people who build the future.
