Streetman Community Center

Community Health Clinic

KSA was engaged by the City of Streetman to provide design services for a new rural community health clinic and multi-purpose educational building. The project is funded by the City of Streetman and the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) Community Development Block Grant (TxCDBG) program. KSA was hired largely because of our unique understanding of the TDA grant process, our experience with similar facilities, and our dynamic project approach. We have been involved with the project since the initial grant writing process and helped to secure the funding.

We designed a 2,030 square foot, small wood-framed building that will be utilized as a rural medical clinic, distance learning classroom, and a multi-purpose event space. We considered the patient in each aspect of the design. Because the patient’s experience weighs so heavily on their interaction with the medical staff, we designed spaces that will facilitate an enjoyable working atmosphere. The design included foundation, interior and exterior finishes, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, restrooms, parking, and all associated appurtenances.

KSA carefully worked within a fixed budget while also meeting the needs of the healthcare professionals and their patients. To strike the perfect balance between high-quality and economy, we performed cost/benefit analyses for various aspects of the design. We are excited to help bring much needed healthcare to a rural community.
