Maveric Drive Improvements

KSA was hired by the City of Kilgore to design and construct a concrete roadway to replace a deteriorated asphalt roadway through Kilgore’s North Industrial Park.
 
Concrete pavement was selected due to the high volume of large trucks through the park. The existing asphalt on the roadway, curb, and gutter was removed and slight horizontal and vertical changes were made.
 
The roadway section consisted of 8.5" of concrete pavement with curb on 8" of lime stabilized subgrade. An existing drainage structure was extended and headwalls, riprap, and guardrails were added. Two sections of existing water line were adjusted to accommodate the roadway changes.
