36 Inch Line Replacement
KSA was selected by an important and well reputable client to perform surveying services to facilitate the replacement of 62 miles of existing pipeline in Smith, Rusk and Panola Counties in East Texas.
The 62 mile pipeline is being replaced with a 36 inch pipeline and was divided into two phases, a 22 mile phase one and a 40 mile phase two. An extensive amount of surveying was necessary for this pipeline replacement, starting with the locating of all 62 miles of the existing pipeline and identifying other pipeline and utility crossings. KSA also performed surveying services for ten surface sites and multiple reroutes due to development encroachments.
Surveying services include the preliminary survey, boundary survey, right-of-way plats for new ROW and temporary workspace, construction alignment sheets, and construction staking. As-built surveying will be performed during construction.
At present, phase one is ready to start construction and phase two is currently being surveyed and developed to start construction upon the completion of phase one. At competition, this project will help our client better serve their customers in East Texas and beyond.
