Joe Sober, P.E.

Born in Woodward, Oklahoma, Joe was taught to work hard and stand by his word. He decided to become a civil engineer because of how intimately the field impacts our quality of life – in ways people often take for granted. Joe learned a great deal about sustainable engineering while working on the Pauls Valley Municipal Airport parallel taxiway extension. The project included the demolition of roughly half of the existing concrete, cross-wind runway. Instead of discarding the demolished concrete, it was crushed on site and used as the aggregate base for the new parallel taxiway. Since this experience, Joe looks for common sense ways to limit our impact on the environment whenever possible. Joe is the kind of engineer who truly listens to the needs of his clients, then works to find solutions that will meet their needs without sacrificing good design principles.
Joe joined KSA’s Aviation Services group with the intent to carry on our reputation of putting our client’s needs above our own. Joe is an innate leader who is passionate about motivating and uplifting the people around him, personally and professionally. He will be instrumental in helping to mentor and train young engineers while simultaneously expanding KSA’s presence in the Oklahoma region.
