Granbury Regional Airport Award
Dubbed the “Friendliest Little Airport in Texas,” Granbury Regional Airport has expanded to meet the growing needs of the surrounding community. Despite the challenges posed by the project's complexity and magnitude, the airport continued to advance the project and maintain support from the community and its leaders.
The City-owned Granbury Regional Airport has been named the "2023 Most Improved Airport of the Year" for the State of Texas. TxDOT noted the addition of the new, mile-long runway and additional significant aviation upgrades when presenting the award. The Mayor, councilmembers and City leadership thanked Pat Stewart, Airport Manager for his key role in Airport enhancements.
