The Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) has officially awarded LEED Silver Certification to the Building 801 Replacement project for the Louisiana National Guard. This achievement highlights the project’s commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is the world’s most widely used green building certification program. It ensures that buildings are designed, constructed, and maintained with an emphasis on energy efficiency, water conservation, and environmental impact reduction.
This milestone marks the third LEED-certified project designed by KSA for the Louisiana National Guard. While the Guard has completed additional LEED-certified projects throughout the state, KSA has proudly served as the design firm for the following:
- 2009: New Joint Forces Headquarters (Training Center Pineville) – LEED Certified
- 2014: Armed Forces Reserve Center at Camp Minden – LEED Silver
- 2025: Building 801 Replacement Project – LEED Silver
