New McKinney Office Building
In spite of McKinney’s strict codes that dictate color, landscaping, and materials, KSA designed a 10,000-square-foot office facility that will satisfy both the city’s review board and our own unique set of needs. The new building will also effortlessly accommodate modern IT solutions and provide adequate space for design, meetings, and presentations.
KSA used local project experience to inform the opinion of probable cost, which helped to dictate the size and economical price of materials. The mechanical systems consist of gas furnaces with cooling coils for maximum system efficiency. The mechanical design also utilized automatic variable volume dampers to provide additional zone control for several areas. Plumbing systems designed for the restrooms and the electrical scheme will suit both current and future capacities. A number of cost-saving alternate designs were also created to reduce costs if necessary. To optimize efficiency and team organization, an office-wide culture assessment was performed, resulting in a layout designed with all employees and stakeholders in mind.
The McKinney staff will have the distinct honor of working in a space designed from our own, individual design perspective.
