Bluebonnet Point Wellness
KSA designed and provided construction administration and resident project representative services for the public infrastructure improvements required for a new skilled nursing facility, Bluebonnet Point Wellness, built in the City of Bullard. Bullard is one of the fastest growing cities in Smith County. East Texas Regional Healthcare System terminated approximately 400 employees followings its merge with the University of Texas Health System. Due to the number of terminations for experienced medical professionals, this project provided meaningful jobs for nurses, aides, and support persons in the East Texas area. Bluebonnet Point Wellness allows Bullard residents, and surrounding areas, a state of the art facility that was once out of reach. The project was funded by the Texas Capital Fund program which was administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
The new infrastructure included construction of two 40-ft wide concrete streets, Bluebonnet Drive and Heritage Springs, which included 1,572 linear feet of storm sewer ranging in size from 15-in to 48-in RCP. The project also included construction of 2,071 linear feet of 8-in waterline, 2,145 linear feet of 8-in gravity sewer line, construction of a duplex sanitary sewer lift station, and 1,204 linear feet of 4-in force main.
