McKinney to Prosper Interceptor Improvements
The McKinney Prosper Interceptor and Indian Creek Trunk Sewer are gravity sewer lines maintained and operated by the NTMWD. During routine maintenance activities the NTMWD noticed that stream bank erosion was occurring at several of the aerial crossings and along the stream bank parallel to the sewer lines. In fact, one crossing was damaged during a rain event and required an emergency repair. KSA was hired to stabilize the stream banks and protect the existing sewer lines. KSA designed structural gabion retaining walls, grouted riprap slope protection and even relocated a portion of the sewer line. One of the gabion walls was approximately 200-feet long and 20-feet tall.
