Municipal Water Well
The City of Plains worked with KSA Engineers to expand the existing well field and increase its water supply. The project was funded through a Community Development Block Grant from the Texas Department of Agriculture. The project scope included drilling of four test holes to evaluate the available water in undeveloped portions of the City’s existing well field. The most promising location was selected and the contractor constructed a gravel packed water well including submersible pump and associated electrical and SCADA improvements. The produced water was connected to the City’s existing collection system with 1,000 linear feet of 6” PVC water line. KSA’s scope also included topographic and boundary survey, bidding and construction administration services.
