Royse City No 1 and Garland No 4

The North Texas Municipal Water District identified several required improvements at the Royse City No. 1 and Garland No. 4 Delivery Points.  KSA was hired to design the improvements at both sites. 

The Royse City No. 1

Delivery Point improvements consisted of the design of a new metering vault, 16-inch diameter flow meter, 16-inch diameter flow control valve, 16-inch diameter site piping, electrical control building, and concrete all-weather access drive. KSA also designed modifications to the site’s electrical controls, SCADA system components and instrumentation. Additional site improvements designed by KSA (for the existing ground storage tank) included a new tank roof, new tank inlet piping, modifications to the tank overflow piping, and the replacement of various access hatches and ladders on multiple existing structures.

The Garland No. 4

Delivery Point improvements included the design of a new metering vault, 30-inch diameter flow control valve, 30-inch diameter motor –operated butterfly valve, 30-inch diameter site piping, electrical building, electrical controls, instrumentation, and SCADA system components.  KSA also designed modifications to the existing metering vault which included a new vault lid, 30” diameter motor-operated butterfly valve, access hatches, ladder, and electrical system components.
