City of Tyler Troup Highway Booster Pump Station

Troup Highway Booster Pump Station

The City of Tyler contracted KSA to design a potable water booster pumping station. The project included the design of a single combined isolated pressure zone of increased water pressure to alleviate existing low water pressure issues in areas of relative elevation generally identified as the Barbara Street/Highland Circle area, the Troup Highway/Standpipe area and the Jan Street extension area. The new triplex booster pump station has hydropnuematic tanks and connections to the existing Troup Highway standpipe, the stand-by emergency generator and associated appurtenances. The project also included the design of approximately 7, 500 linear feet of 16-inch diameter distribution line from the pump station and approximately 50 check valve assemblies with the distribution system for pressure zone isolation purposes.
